The Lord your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His Love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joys. ~Zephaniah 3:17~

I survived

In my post on November 19th, I mentioned my days of long hours were over.  Talk about being way off base.  My days were truly just beginning.  I have worked 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week since that time, other than right at Thanksgiving and last weekend.

I was able to visit some old friends last weekend, who graciously loaned me their computer to run and download reports I needed so as not to lose the data.  Thankfully, it did not take much time away from our visit.  Ray and Charlotte truly have the gift of hospitality.  I came away mentally refreshed.  Just wished I would have slept more than a few hours although, I must say, getting up way before anyone else and just reading in the quiet of morning was a treat.  A muchly needed treat.

Today, I am working from home and will only go into the office if need be. Thankfully, the office is only 7 miles away.  I copied all our of files so I pretty much can work from home, unless older information is needed.  Just have to remember to check the voicemail periodically. This is normally how I work the last 2 weeks of the year but this year, it just was not possible.

Last night, sheer exhaustion took over my body as I went to bed a little after 8pm and did not arise until 5:15am.  Feel much better.

Waylon and I are going to do a little stocking stuffer shopping this morning and then attempt to decorate the tree and the house.  We are hoping to have Devon at least one day during Christmas.

Guess I better get about my day!

Should I not get on here again anytime soon, Merry Christmas!  May you and your family have an awe filled day celebrating the birth of Jesus!
