The Lord your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His Love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joys. ~Zephaniah 3:17~

A ramblin mind....

It has been a rough few weeks.  I have been working long, crazy hours.  And for those of you seeing $$$ in your eyes, forget it.  I am on salary.  Due to one of our clients inability to meet the front load demands at Walmart and then Walmart screwing up the traited store list, I have been manually having to do store product lists.  Nice to know, that after this week, I think most of the long work days are behind me, which is good.  I am exhausted.

This morning, once again, I am up way too early. I am sleeping so hard and heavy when my head first hits the pillow that by 3am, I am wide awake. Used to, I could get by on 5 hours of sleep. These days, I require a little more.

Last weekend, thanks to God, we had the successful  garage sale which means, I now have space in my storage room.  This weekend, once again, I did not have to go to the office to work, so I worked at organizing my storage room.  I gathered some more stuff to be removed.  Since it is metal, I am going to haul it to recycling and get whatever $$$ I can.   The tool and hardware section stills needs a little work but I am saving it for another day.  Not sure why, other than I had other things I wanted to accomplish first.

I am still trying to sell my weaving loom.  It needs a good home and I could use the $$$.

My house is now clean.  I organzied the laundry/sewing room by taking out all the flannel for future rag quilts.  I better start sewing soon as the flannel takes up a 4'x6' space in the living room.  Lots of sheets and shirts to cutup.

We have asked our neighbor Steve to find someone else to help with his mom.  Mom has been filling in for me with Carolyn due to my long work hours and it is taking its toll on her.  Steve's mom really needs a little more care than I want to give after working a long day.  Hopefully he will find someone soon.

After lunchtime tomorrow, I can work the rest of the week from home.  My part time job is already done at home so no changes there.   This week we will have 3 dogs stay with us while their parents are traveling.  For the first time, we have Princess, the part chihuahua part ? from hell.  Not one of us can touch her without her biting us.  She will not be coming to stay at our house ever again unless she changes her ways.  She came last night and we have her until Sunday.  Hopefully she will calm down as the days progress. Dottie, is a bulldog that I have been watching off and on for 4 years.  She is on a very special diet, white fish and sweet potatoes, so we have to make sure she does not eat Princess' food.  Dottie will be with us from Tuesday afternoon through Monday.  Annie, who is a Great Pyrenese, Labrador/Chow mix will come Friday and her mom will pick her up on Saturday evening.  Annie is old and sleeps alot.  Dottie is very spoiled, believes she is a people.

I am grateful, that over the years, God has provided ways for me to earn $$$ needed to meet my needs.  At least these animals come to my home and I can still do what I need to do.  I used to housesit but it made it hard to do my part time job and my lists of things to do at home got ignored.

I have so much for which to be thankful and there is no way to compile a complete list so here are just a few.

 1. My salvation, my personal relationship with Jesus
 2. I have jobs
 3. Waylon, whose heart I see softening (just a wee bit) and Roo, who I know I will get to see again
      one day
 4. My needs are met
 5. Friends and true ones
 6. Transportation
 7. Physical health
 8. Peace and joy, which I never knew existed until I gave my heart to Jesus at the age of 35
 9. Beautiful colors in nature
10. etc, etc, etc

I continue to strive towards having more of an attitude of gratitude.

I enjoy the writings of Richard Paul Evans.  Here is a quote from his book "The Sunflower".

"There are none so impoverished as those who do not acknowledge the abundance of their lives. "

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you and your families.

  1. That's a lot of business to conduct. Funny about the Chihuahua mix, I have another friend whose just been commenting that she's seen a lot more bad temper out of them than pit bulls. Luckily, if you have to, you can just step on a chihuahua.
